A movie isn't on the service it says
Streaming catalogues change every week, and our list refreshes weekly from TMDB and JustWatch. The card shows when your country's list was last checked. If a title has just left a service, it can take up to a week to drop off.
Wrong country, or services I don't have
We work out your country from your device's time zone and language settings. If you travel or use a VPN, the services shown follow your device's settings. Choose the services you actually have from the menu at the top. Picks then come only from those.
Watch opens the website instead of the app
On iPhone, Watch opens the streaming app when it is installed. For Netflix and Prime Video, it opens a search for the title. Other apps open on their home screen, so search for the title there. On Android, links open in the streaming app when Android recognises the link as belonging to that app. Otherwise they open in your browser.
Does it work offline?
The apps keep a copy of the catalogue after the first launch, so picking works without a connection. Posters and trailers need a connection.
Start over
To reset your picks and settings, clear the site's data in your browser. In the app, clear the app's storage (Android) or delete and reinstall the app (iOS).
Sign in on another device
Signing in is optional. It keeps your saved list, taste and settings the same on every device where you sign in with the same account. Tap the profile icon at the top right: the Account section is at the top. and use Continue with Google or Continue with email. Email sends a 6-digit code: type it in on the device where you asked for it.
Delete your account
In the app or on the website: tap the profile icon at the top right, then Account → Delete account, and tap again to confirm. Your account and everything synced to it are deleted straight away.
Can't sign in? Email hello@pickamovie.tv from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We'll delete the account and all synced data within 30 days and confirm by email. We keep nothing afterwards.
Deleting the account doesn't clear the copy on your phone or browser: uninstall the app or clear the site's data for that.
